Brownfields Redevelopment for Property Owners and Investors

Our community was selected as a target area under a Community – Wide Assessment grant secured by the state of Kentucky to assess the presence of contaminated materials and vacant buildings and lots. This funding hopes to capitalize on momentum in downtown Scottsville and Allen County by giving properties a clean bill of health for redevelopment. This event will give an overview of the Brownfields program – from environmental assessment to potential cleanup. We will explore the ways in which property owners, local developers, and local governments can work together to bring life back to underused sites. Our goal is to equip locals with the knowledge to safely redevelop potentially contaminated sites while also protecting potential purchasers from environmental liability. Registration required.
